Key Role Expectations
· Steering the implementation of the Vedanta Ltd – Cairn oil & gas health, safety & Environment management systems.
· Monitor and audit operational activities to ascertain for compliance with Indian regulations, Vedanta Ltd, Cairn Oil & Gas HSE management systems and procedures, and identify areas for improvement.
· Train staff in company HSE values, standards and procedures
· Promote Road Safety culture
· Develop a strong HSE culture among staff and contractors
· Provide support and guidance to Operations/Projects/Drilling/ Seismic Teams and respective HSE Teams
· Conduct Incident investigations and reporting.
· Track, monitor and report Site HSE Performance.
· Frequently liaises with regulatory authorities, District and State Administration
· Knowledge of HSE MS, Risk management, PSM, national HSE regulations, International best practices
Qualification & Experience
· BE/BTech/M Tech (Fire and Safety / HSE / Mechanical/ Electrical/ Chemical) from Central Govt recognized institute with 8-10 yrs post-qualification experience in managing HSE in hazardous industries such as mines/oil & gas upstream/ refineries/ petrochemical.
NEBOSH certificate / Diploma
