JOB DESCRIPTION–
Position: Senior Design Engineer-
Competence Requirement: University education to a degree level and a minimum 8 years experience in
design of floating Roof / Cone Roof / Dome Roof Storage Tanks (including Roof structures, vents etc), refrigerated tanks, Pressure Vessels, columns and general fabrication work in oil and gas industries, refineries, petrochemicals, process plants, Saudi aramco, Saudi basic industries
Primary Responsibilities:
Detailed Fixed and floating roof storage Tanks including roof structure, vent etc mechanical Design using a Spreadsheet, tank Design Software such as Tank, E tank etc
Detailed Pressure Vessel (with U, U2, R stamp) Mechanical Design using Spreadsheet, Pressure Vessel Design Software such as PV Elite, Compress etc.
Ensures that all designs are prepared in a timely manner and in full compliance with applicable codes (ASME), standards (API, AWWA, UL, NFPA, ANSI, UBC, AISC etc) regulations, specifications and Contract requirements.
Expertise in new tank design, demolition and reconstruction, and repairs/modifications to existing tanks as per API regulations
Highly proficient in Computers / English Writing and Speaking
Incorporates the design with proper weld , joint configuration, weld procedure specification and NDE for any joint that is not covered in the weld standards, drafting manuals and standards.
Shall closely supervise the work of design engineers and draftsmen to properly convey design information and to resolve technical queries with the client.
Assists with the development and maintenance of standards, computer programs, design procedures and training.
Participates in meetings with other departments and / or customers for planning purposes or to resolve any non-conformance or other related problems.
Ensures that all design and details incorporate safe procedures.
Prepare material requisition for the above said equipment’s components
