Independently Manage small to medium engagements with customers Work with cross functional teams to design, develop, and implement hybrid cloud solutions Maintain current knowledge of the industry trends and products/solutions for virtualization, cloud infrastructure, management and automation, network virtualization and software defined storage Deploy these solutions in a timely and effective manner Assist in the development of reusable solutions, including definition of tasks, deliverables, and standard estimates Help to identify and document best practices in developing and deploying solutions, and feed them into our knowledge base for reuse Design, develop, and implement Infrastructure as a Service capabilities hybrid cloud solution. These will include: o Service catalog o Self service portal o Automation and orchestration o Integration components for Active Directory, IP Address Management, etc. o Other capabilities based on the product features and roadmap Document technical requirements, use cases, design, installation and configuration procedures, test and validation plan.
Familiarity and experience with systems management concepts, IT service management processes and standards
Ability to travel about 70 percent of the time.
At least 3 years experience in customer-facing positions as a professional services consultant or systems engineer, preferably with a virtualization/cloud product company, or Service Provider organization Experience in infrastructure architecture and design of complex distributed systems environments, incorporating availability, manageability, security, performance, and application requirements
