ABOUT COMPANY:A software Company specialing in test automation, product development and technology services related to financial services domain.
ELIGIBILITY:
Experience: 1-5 years
Notice period: Less than 1 month
* Requires a Quantitative bachelor’s degree in relevant area of specialty (Computer Science, Mathematics, Operations Research, Physics) with some finance industry experience or a graduate degree in financial engineering or a similar program
* FRM Level I or CFA Level II Certification
* Understanding of various risk modeling techniques, including the use of factor models and time-series methodologies and asset pricing
* Programming experience in one of Java/Python/R
* Experience working with databases using SQL queries
* Exposure to SCRUM or other agile development processes
* Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must
* Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the software development industry
* Ability to work with large and complex data sets
Additional preferred skills:
* FRM Level II
* Experience working with SQLServer database
* Eclipse IDE or Visual Studio
* Maven software project management
* Experience with a variety of testing tools
* Experience leveraging open-source tools and technologies
* Experience with multiple development languages and platforms
Nature of Job:
* Testing of our client’s analytics software products
* Valuation of analytics for various asset classes
* Collaborating with the research and quantitative development teams
* Interacting with clients to discuss quantitative issues, investigating and reproducing the problems they highlight
* Testing activities may include writing test plans, executing tests, regression testing, in-sprint testing etc.
* Follow Agile development processes, coding standards, and methodologies
* Rely on experience and judgment to estimate testing time and accomplish goals
* Keep management informed of testing progress status regularly
* Perform a variety of tasks, and adapts to working on application which is unfamiliar
* Creative ideas are suggested to solve problems
* Professional communication skills are utilized, and made a primary focus
