He will be over all responsible and accountable for successful & timely completion of project as per the given scope of work and the assigned budget:-
1. He will prepare the draft project plan after taking and providing inputs from different agencies involved.
2. He will help in the preparation of project schedule as per the time lines set by the client.
3. He will project the resource requirements both men and materials with time lines so as to ensure that project is smoothly completed with delivery of quality services and products.
4. Prior to the commencement of construction activities, he will ensure that all the project requirements in terms of trained manpower, supporting infrastructure, HSSE, funds & documentation are fully available.
5. He will ensure that different plans ie HSSE plan, construction plan, materials delivery plan and the method statements are available at site .
6. He will fully familiarize himself about the overall project scope and also with the respective scope of work allocated to each of the L4 sub-contractors involved in the project.
7. He will fully familiarize himself the 12 module HSSE audit checklist and will ensure that periodic audits are done as per the checklist and gaps found are covered in a timely manner.
8. On a daily basis, he will ensure that all the resources are available for the execution of activities of the day, all HSSE procedures are observed and the documentations done accordingly.
9. He will ensure effective supervision of all the activities progress and recording/measurement of the same as per the project scope of work.
10. He will ensure quality of delivery of product and services as planned.
11. He will strictly manage the scope of work and take up the matter for scope variation approvals as required by the client. Under no circumstances, he will allow unauthorized scope variation without its prior approval.
12. He will closely monitor and track the project cost and will take all necessary steps for proper cost accounting on a daily basis and will bring to the notice of cost over-runs if any.
13. He will ensure effective project team management and their welfare.
14. He will be responsible for periodic raising of JMR for RAs to billing team members so that client could be billed without delays.
15. He will also scrutinize RAs being submitted by L4s and will certify the materials & services actually delivered at site regularly.
16. He will effectively utilize the services of his team members i.e. Construction supervisor, Quality officer & HSSE Officer and will ensure that they perform as per their charter of duties.
17. He will maintain project risk register where all the project related risks are recorded and prioritized periodically and actions recorded for mitigation or minimization of project risks.
18. He will effectively manage all the materials delivered at site, including their accounting and the safe storage
19. He will participate in project related meetings/concals. He will also ensure daily, weekly and monthly submission of reports as required by the client.
20. He will manage all contractors involved at site as per their contractual obligations.
21. He will be responsible for all project related documentations, and their record keeping.
22. On project completion, he will ensure that all project records are uploaded on portal and hard copies deposited to office for audit & future use.
